Founded in Colton in 2020 by Diego Avila after two decades of welding pipe and steel for other people. The shop runs the way he always thought one should: procedures on paper, heat numbers on the steel, and the owner still under the hood.
Twenty-five years of welding, six years of running the shop
Diego Israel Avila Vielmas spent nearly twenty years welding before he put his own name on a shop. Pipe, structural steel, pressure work, field repairs: he learned every process the trade uses and what happens when someone cuts a corner on any of them. In 2020 he incorporated G&A Precision Systems in Colton, California, and started taking on the jobs he knew he could do better.
The shop today fabricates pipe spools, structural steel, and process skids for industrial clients across the Inland Empire, Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego. Six welding processes run in-house, from purged stainless TIG roots to submerged arc on heavy plate, along with plasma cutting for preparation. When the work has to happen at your plant, the same crew goes with rigs and generators.
G&A is a small company by design. Diego quotes the work, sets the procedures, and welds alongside his helpers, so what was promised in the quote is what gets built. Every job ships with weld maps and material certs, and the crew works in both English and Spanish, which keeps mixed job sites running smoothly.
