Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
TIG welding for stainless, alloy, and thin-wall pipe and tube where the root pass has to be perfect
A premium take on Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
Gas tungsten arc welding is where precision earns its name. G&A Precision Systems uses GTAW for stainless steel and alloy pipe, sanitary and process tubing, thin-wall assemblies, and the root pass on carbon steel pipe that will be filled with another process. Purge control keeps the inside of stainless pipe bright, heat input is kept low to hold color and corrosion resistance, and the finished bead is uniform enough to leave exposed. When your specification calls for TIG, this is the process we're proudest of.
This service is built for industrial teams that need fabrication to match the drawings, material specifications, and project schedule. We manage joint preparation, fit-up, welding, traceability, and final inspection so the work arrives ready for installation.
Every project covers the essentials
- Stainless steel, chrome-moly, nickel alloys, and aluminum
- Open-root and consumable-insert pipe root passes
- Small-bore and thin-wall tubing assemblies
- Back purging for clean internal surfaces on stainless
- Low heat input for corrosion resistance and minimal distortion
- Uniform, exposed-quality bead appearance
Four steps from first call to final walkthrough
Prep & Purge
Joint cleaned to bright metal, fit with proper gap, and purged for stainless and alloy work.
Root Pass
Full-penetration root with controlled heat input and filler.
Fill & Cap
TIG fill and cap, or transition to another process per the procedure.
Inspect
Visual inspection of the ID and OD, plus any specified NDE.
The difference a careful job makes
Sound joint preparation, material control, fit-up, and welding discipline produce work that performs as specified.
Documented Quality
Weld maps and material records provide traceability from receiving through shipment.
Built to Specification
Controlled fit-up, qualified procedures, and appropriate processes support dependable service life.
Precision-Driven
Joint preparation, alignment, heat input, and final dimensions are checked throughout fabrication.
Schedule Discipline
Clear lead times and steady communication keep fabrication and field work coordinated.
Controlled from material intake to final inspection
Reliable fabrication comes from documented procedures and disciplined execution. Here's the standard we apply to every project.
Clear Communication
Straight answers, a documented scope, and changes priced in writing.
Material Traceability
Heat numbers and material certifications stay tied to the work from intake to delivery.
Procedure Control
The welding process, consumables, joint preparation, and fit-up follow the job specification.
Weld Mapping
Completed welds are mapped so inspection records remain connected to each joint.
Final Inspection
Dimensions, weld condition, documentation, and shipment readiness are checked before release.
